Shrimp
Lime
Sesame Seeds
We're always trying to eat healthy while trying to stay within our budget. Luckily I already had most of these items at home. All I did was cut the avocado, microwave the shrimp, mix into a bowl with the sesame seeds, and drizzle lime juice over the whole thing. I flushed down the salad with a cup of V8 juice. I gotta get my fruit dosage somehow!
I wasn't too sure how it would taste. Surprisingly, it turned out to my liking. I only used 1 avocado and a small handful of shrimp, but it was very filling. I actually didn't feel hungry again like I normally am after eating a small snack.
I tried this again a few nights later but added some red bell peppers to it just as an experiment. Although it looks better with the touch of red color, I prefer my salad without the bell pepper.
If you know me, I love and am addicted to food and love trying new things, especially when I'm on a budget or I don't want to run to the grocery store for more items. Curiosity tends to get to me when I'm hungry and I like to experiment with the foods I have in my cupboards and my fridge. Let me know if you try making this and if you liked it and if you added or switched up the ingredients. I'd like to try your recipe as well :) Happy eating!
SIMPLE. CHEAP. DELICIOUS
