Who's Going to KCON 2014?

What is KCON? It's a convention in which allows fans to get the opportunity to interact with KPop entertainment, culture, and community.  This will be my very first time going to KCON so I'm pretty pumped.

I was introduced to KDrama and KPop at about 12 years of age.  Up until age 16, I was a KDrama addict along with a follower of Big Bang, S.E.S, and FinKL.  From age 16 to age 24, I kind of fell off the universe of Korean entertainment.  And now, since last year, I have again found my way back into that universe and I'm proud to say that I'm hooked and there's no turning back!

Makeup is pretty new to me, as I grew up being a tomboy.  Today, I attempted to create a KPop inspired makeup look.  It definitely did not turn out as dramatic as I hoped it would.  The KPop makeup look definitely focuses more on the eyes.  It's all about the eyeliner baby!  I will attempt to do another look, next time, with a thicker liner and perhaps add on a smokey look.

When I first heard of KCON, I really didn't think too much about it except the fact that there will be delicious food and a KPop concert.  After hearing all of the updates on KCON and following up with the news of the convention, I finally realized that it's much bigger than just a convention and it means a lot more that just a concert.  KCON is about All Things "Hallyu" (Korean Wave).  It doesn't surprise me how much the KDrama and KPop industries have impacted everyone all over the world from music, to TV shows, to fashion.  Now, will it be wrong for me to go all out for KCON?  I think not!  It's going to be hot as heck, so of course, whatever I choose to wear during this weekend will have to be appropriate for the weather.

Now, let's talk hair.  KPop celebs are most identified as not having black hair.  I've been planning to dye my hair for the summer, so perhaps I shall do it before KCON.  No, I'm not doing it just for the purpose of KCON, but for myself.  Hair color is a style and a part of fashion and with my new hair color, it will add so much to my KPop inspired look :)
